Naltar Lakes, Naltar Valley Pakistan

There are several lakes in Naltar Valley.  The lakes are surrounded by dense pine forests. The best time to visit the lakes is from May to October. During the winter, it becomes almost impossible to reach the lake by vehicle due to the heavy snowfall in the Naltar Valley. The lakes in Naltar Valley are not so big but are very beautiful and scenic.

Satrangi Lake:
This lake contains multi-colors due to the mountain surface inside the lake, therefore known as Multi-Color or Satrangi Lake.

Blue Lake:
Color of this lake is blue and is just adjacent to the Satarngi Lake.

Dhudia Lake:
This lake is somehow far from other lakes and needs almost 1-2 hrs trekking. This remains frozen most of the time.

Halima Lake:
This lake is situated in a beautiful meadow known as Halima Garden. This lake can be approached in 30 min from Blue Lake.

Baha Lake, Phander Ghizer Pakistan

 Baha Lake is located in Koh-i-Ghizer of District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The estimated terrain elevation above sea level is 3,622 metres (11,883 ft). Its direction is from north to south. To reach Baha Lake, a person must take the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad to Gilgit. And then take Gilgit-Chitral road west from Gilgit, and then continue his journey straight towards Chitral. When it comes in Langar, the main road goes toward Shandur and on the left hand side to south direction, Khukush Nallah starts. One cannot take any bike or bicycle as there are bothering trek road to reach Baha Lake. It takes 2 hours from Langar to reach at Baha Lake.

Junction of Three Mighty Mountain Ranges in Pakistan

It is located at the junction of three mightiest mountain ranges, the Karakorum, Hindukush, and Himalayas.It is also the junction where the ways of Gilgit and Skardu splits in different directions. The road to Skardu branches off about six kilometers towards Gilgit.


KARAKORAM

 The highest peak of Mount Karakoram is K2 (8611) meters. Which is located in Baltistan.

The 500 km Karakoram Range covers Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Tajikistan and India. 

HIMALAYA

The highest peak in the Himalayas is Mount Everest (8848 m). Which is located in Nepal. The 2,400 km long Himalayan range stretches across Pakistan, China, India, Bhutan and Nepal.

HINDU-KUSH 

The highest peak of the Hindu Kush is Trich Mir (7708) meters. Which is located in Chitral. The 800 km long Hindu Kush range stretches across Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan

Broghil Valley
